Donald Trump has defrauded the American people

In just a few moments, I'm going to ask you to add a donation to our campaign for president. We're up against our steepest end-of-quarter fundraising goal yet, and it's going to take every person stepping up and digging deep to help us get there.

But first, I want to say thank you. Ever since we launched our campaign a few months ago, you -- and hundreds of thousands of supporters like you across the country -- have been informing and helping me be a better candidate, and you undoubtedly will help me be a better president.

Together, we are making the case for our America. An America where we have a president of the United States who knows it is a sign of strength not to beat people down, but to lift people up.

I've spent my career as a prosecutor, and I prosecuted those who prey on the most vulnerable. I've prosecuted murderers and rapists; big banks that take advantage of hardworking families; pharmaceutical companies that were preying on people in their most vulnerable moments; for-profit colleges that were defrauding students.

I want to tell you about somebody who has defrauded the American people: Donald Trump.

There is a rap sheet full evidence to make the case against four more years of this administration. Let's look at what happened:

Trump promised health care -- and then he tried to rip health care aware from millions of people.

Trump said he was for working people -- and then he passed a tax bill benefiting the top 1% and the biggest corporations in this country.

Trump believes the president of Russia and a North Korean dictator over the word of the American intelligence community.

And then, after all that, he claims to be the best president we've seen in a generation. Well, I say let's call Barack Obama because that's identity fraud.

I have never backed down from a tough fight in my life, and I'm not going to start now. But if we're going to win this thing, we need to clear the next big hurdle in our path: reaching our steep end-of-quarter fundraising goal of raising $1 million online.

If that number sounds like a lot, it's because it is. But every dollar we raise goes directly toward hiring organizers in communities across the country. It helps us hire critical staff at our headquarters in Baltimore. It helps us share the story of our campaign with undecided voters in key states. And it helps me stay out on the campaign trail, meeting with voters. In short, your donations are literally powering our movement. And if a whole lot of people step up this week, I know we can reach our goal -- no matter how steep.

I wouldn't ask if it didn't help tremendously. Can you add a donation to help power our campaign?

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

I'm ready to take a stand and prosecute the case against Donald Trump. And with you by my side, I know we're going to get this done.

For The People,

— Kamala Harris
