We just wrapped up our first debate of this presidential primary in Miami, where I shared my vision for the America we can build together -- and my plan to prosecute the case against four more years of Donald Trump. This election is about so much more than philosophical or hypothetical arguments -- it's about laying out an agenda that will help real families. America does not want to witness a food fight. They want to know how we're going to put food on the table. That's why I've proposed a 3AM Agenda with solutions that will have a direct and immediate effect on people's lives, paychecks, and health care. Together, we can reverse President Trump's trillion-dollar tax cut for big corporations and the top 1% -- and use that money to give a tax credit of up to $6,000 to working families each year. Together, we can provide a tax credit for people spending 30 percent or more of their income on rent and utilities. Together, we can close the teacher pay gap by making the largest federal investment in our teachers in U.S. history. Together, we can flip the script and hold corporations accountable by requiring them to prove they are not engaging in pay discrimination -- and fining companies that fail to close their pay gaps. Together, we can pass Medicare for All, which would remove the profit motive from America's health care system and ensure no person -- no matter where they live or how much they make -- is left behind. Together, we can take action to curb gun violence in communities across our country -- including mandating the most comprehensive federal background checks in our nation's history. Together, we can make community college free and four-year public college debt-free. These proposals -- and more -- are what we can accomplish if we fight together and win this election.
