MLB: Deny ICE entry

This is a basic quality of life issue

Pamela – when people think of America, they think of our national pastime, baseball. And Immigration and Customs Enforcement knows that. As you know, ICE has spent the past few months terrorizing our communities across the country. Their latest target? Sporting events. Just a few weeks ago, ICE agents wanted to access the parking lots at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles to target game-goers. But the team denied ICE entry. The Dodgers know that baseball, as our national pastime, is a great unifier. No matter who you are or where you're from, you can enjoy baseball. Now, it's time for the 28 other MLB teams to follow the Dodgers' lead and publicly reject ICE from using their stadiums to abduct and detain immigrants. It's unsafe for everyone to be around and it puts lives at risk. This isn't just happening in Los Angeles; it's happening across the country. Private citizens and corporations – like the MLB – to stand up for American values against the encroaching facism. Facism is here, and we can do something to stop it. America is a nation of immigrants and people shouldn't be punished for trying to achieve the American Dream. ICE is dangerous and must be stopped. Other MLB teams must follow the Dodgers' lead and ban ICE from using their stadiums. This is a critical moment in our nation's history, and we need organizations like the MLB to take a stand.
