This is how we rein in out of control CEO pay

Coca-Cola's CEO made 1,980 times that of their average worker who makes $14,144 a year.

Pamela, Greedy corporations and their CEOs have never had it so good. They're price gouging consumers while CEOs are making 290 times that of their average worker. To put this in context, the typical Starbucks worker would need to work 6,600 years to make what their CEO made last year―$95.8 million! At the same time, Tesla's board of directors is considering a nearly $1 trillion pay package to Elon Musk, who is already the richest man in the world. That's why Bernie Sanders and I have introduced the Tax Excessive CEO Pay Act to tax corporations that pay their top executives more than 50 times their average worker. At a time when billionaire wealth in the U.S. has reached a record $7.6 trillion and when 60% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck, this bill would put a constraint on excessive CEO pay packages and encourage corporations to raise workers' wages.
