Pamela,
Right now, on the Senate floor, the full 940-page disastrous Republican budget bill is being read aloud before floor debate begins, which will be swiftly followed by a vote. But, if you can believe it, overnight on Friday, the bill got even worse. And Big Oil is thrilled.
Now, Republicans are ready to put punitive taxes in place on existing wind and solar projects that power our homes. That's on top of their plan to slash the clean energy investments necessary for meeting the increasing energy strain of data centers powering AI and to build grid reliability to withstand extreme weather.
Oh, and we can't forget the 400,000 clean energy jobs they're ready to axe or that $1 BILLION TAX CUT FOR BIG OIL. Make no mistake, this will raise our energy bills by hundreds of dollars at minimum.
It's not too late to make your voice heard. Right now, every single call counts toward making sure senators know where their constituents stand. Pamela, please take a minute to call your senator now.
Pamela, we need your help in this final push to call the Senate and block the extreme GOP budget bill that will have a huge impact on American families and workers. By calling, you're accomplishing a couple of very important things:
- You're reminding your senator how popular clean energy investments, reliable access to health care, and clean air and water are -- and that we, as Americans, are relying on them for our future; and
- You're signaling to them that you're paying attention. You'll remember how they vote on this bill to raise your energy costs.
If you have already called your senators, thank you! Please call again and forward this message to help people in your networks make their voices heard, too.
If you haven't yet had the chance to call, please take a moment to make one now. All you have to do is fill out this quick & easy form and click "CALL ME!" From there, you'll get a call connecting you to one of your senators' offices, and you'll see a suggested script to help you as you make your call.
Thank you for being in this fight,
