Pamela, as Trump's poll numbers take a dive and his "big beautiful bill" hits the rocks, he's backed into a corner:
It's moments like these when he's at his most impulsive and dangerous. Trump's already fighting with his own intelligence analysts and lashing out at foreign leaders — and with a fragile ceasefire between us and all-out war in the Middle East, we can't rely on him to stay the course for peace.
Make no mistake: Trump's march to war with Iran isn't "last week's" problem. It's a right now problem. The potential for the violence to resume is high, and we can't risk the chance that Trump orders or supports further military action. That's why, while others may be clocking out, we're going all IN to build and strengthen the kind of roadblocks that can stop Trump from taking one more step down the path to war with Iran.

We've just seen the power of our anti-war majority in action. The moment this crisis broke, our team sprung into action: briefing progressive lawmakers and the press, strategizing a mass "Healthcare Not Warfare" grassroots call with movement partners and champions in Congress, and mobilizing tens of thousands of activists like you to call on Congress to block Trump from further escalation. We sent out a loud and clear message across DC — "No War in Iran!" — that was impossible to ignore.
That's how, as Trump doubled down on his bet that war would be a political win, we were able to push back. In the face of immediate, loud, and organized opposition to his deeply unpopular war, Trump has, for now, decided to avoid further escalation.
The ceasefire is a hugely positive and life-saving step. But the most important — and fragile — stage of any strategy are moments like this, where the stakes are high and balance feels like it just might tip in your favor.
Given Trump's erratic behavior and Netanyahu's maximalist war aims, the situation could quickly devolve again. Congress must still reassert its war powers to avoid yet another dangerous and illegal war. That's where we come in, Pamela.
Thank you for working for peace,
The Win Without War team
