Earth Month starts tomorrow, Pamela. We wanted to make sure you could get a head start on your celebrations with this new guide for how to fight for our future, take action, and even find rest this coming month.
Every April, we celebrate the progress we've made to protect our communities and our planet, get plugged into the fight, and connect with the places we call home.
This year feels different. Trump's administration spent the last few months attacking climate action, ending dozens of environmental protections to allow toxic pollution in our air and water, and slashing extreme weather recovery funding. He's tried to mass fire workers at the National Weather Service, National Park Service, and National Forest Service. He's attempting to cut federal disaster relief entirely. And now, his cronies in Congress are threatening the extremely popular clean energy investments we've fought hard for and won -- even though that'll make our energy costs more expensive and put 400,000 good jobs on the chopping block.
Every step of the way, the Trump administration is attempting to axe critical services that Americans depend on to pay for giveaways to his Big Oil backers. And every step of the way, this team is working hard to throw sand in the gears. To block their threats and protect our future.
This Earth Month, we're going to ramp up our efforts by offering ways to recommit to protecting our clean energy future, chip in to help build the campaign we need to fight back, and even download a few coloring pages to let your creative juices flow.
