Pamela, have you been following what's happening in Arizona?

There's a ballot initiative — ironically named "The Judicial Accountability Act of 2024" by those championing it — this fall that would essentially end term limits for state supreme and appellate court judges.

Worse yet, it would be retroactive. That means that if Proposition 137 passes, it would overturn the results of any election this November that unseats a current state supreme court justice. This includes two GOP judges who ruled to uphold the state's Civil War-era abortion ban, who some voters are trying to get out of office.

Proposition 137 would take power away from voters after they cast their ballots — and it's a tremendous, partisan abuse of power. Full stop.

That's why our grassroots team is texting voters in Arizona to mobilize them and push back against the ballot initiative because we know that every Arizonan and every American should be free to make their voices heard at the ballot box.
