It's time to return your ballot, Pamela! Voting by mail is a convenient way to make your voice heard. Here's how you can return your ballot to make sure your vote is counted: -
Drop It Off at a Secure Drop Box: This close to Election Day, we strongly recommend dropping your ballot off. All Early Voting locations have secure ballot intake stations available during open hours. Some counties also have additional drop boxes. Visit your county Supervisor of Elections' website for the locations, days, and hours of all secure drop boxes in your county. -
Deliver it to Your County Supervisor of Elections Office: You can deliver your ballot directly to the Supervisor of Elections office until 7:00 pm (local time) on Election Day. -
Mail Your Ballot: If you must mail your ballot, please do so TODAY. It has to arrive by 7:00pm on Election Day. Remember to add the correct postage, if needed. Remember: All vote-by-mail ballots MUST BE SIGNED and received by the county Supervisor of Elections no later than 7:00 pm on November 5. If you bring your mail ballot to a precinct polling place on Election Day, you won't be able to drop it off, but you can cancel it and vote in-person instead. Other important things to remember: -
If you've changed your mind about vote-by-mail or if you never received your vote-by-mail ballot, you can still vote in-person. Bring your VBM ballot (if you have it) with you to an early voting location or your polling place, where they will cancel the VBM ballot and you can vote a regular in-person ballot. If you don't have your VBM ballot, you will still be able to vote in-person but you may have to vote a "provisional ballot." -
If you make a mistake while filling out your ballot, you can call your Supervisor of Elections Office and request a new ballot (or you can go vote in-person instead). -
If there is an issue with your signature, you will be contacted by the Supervisor of Elections office by first-class mail, and by any other contact information you have provided. There will also be a notice if you track your ballot online. Follow the instructions on how to "cure" your missing or mismatched signature by 5:00 pm on Thursday, November 7. It's crucial that your family and friends have this information. You can play a critical role in ensuring that their ballots are counted in the upcoming election by sharing this information.
