Let's be real: If Donald Trump wins in November, Pride celebrations all over the country could be very different next year.
Project 2025, the right's plan for Trump's second term as president, is a hateful 887-page blueprint to strip away our dignity, humanity, and rights.
Project 2025 calls for a "biblically-based definition of marriage and family," including recognizing only heterosexual marriage and rejecting any transgender care or protections, and for deleting from federal policy the terms "sexual orientation" and "gender identity"; "diversity, equity, and inclusion"; and "gender," "gender equality," and "gender equity."1,2
Pride has always been not just joyous celebrations of expression, identity, and community but about protesting and fighting hate, homophobia, and transphobia. And this year, it's more important than any year in recent history.

Right now, all across the country, bigoted MAGA politicians are attacking the LGBTQ+ community—from threatening to repeal same-sex marriage and prohibiting gender-affirming care to banning books that are written by LGBTQ+ authors.3
And Trump, with Project 2025 as a guide, is preparing to repeal any and all federal policies that promote LGBTQ+ equity.4
We refuse to have our rights, freedom, and dignity stripped away from us. That's why we are going to vote for justice this November and help ensure our family and friends vote too.
