Dear MoveOn member,

Donald Trump is a convicted felon—because 12 everyday Americans did their job of listening to the evidence, discussing the law, and holding him accountable.

Now we have a job that is just as important: keeping him out of the White House. It seems unbelievable and outrageous, but even after being charged with 34 felony counts, he is still running for president, his ardent supporters are sticking with him, and the election results will be close.

MoveOn's election team is hosting an emergency phone bank to contact voters, talk with them about what's at stake in this election, and urge them to turn out to vote in November. Will you sign up now to call voters on Tuesday evening, June 4, at 7 p.m. ET (6 CT/5 MT/4 PT?

This will be a virtual phone bank, meaning you can participate from your home or anywhere your computer and cellphone work. You'll be joining Zoom with fellow volunteers and MoveOn team members who can coach you through the call tool, give you tips for making effective calls, and share any talking points you might want. There will be a brief training at the top of the call, so even if you've never phone-banked before, you'll have everything you need.

Sign up now and on Tuesday you can take the energy from this historic verdict and funnel it into voter contact—reaching the voters we need to engage and motivate to win in November.

The truth is that no jury is going to keep Trump from running. While these trials are essential to hold him accountable, it's going to come down to voters to clearly and decisively reject him and his toxic politics again.

MoveOn is specifically targeting "surge voters"—folks who have voted before but may not vote regularly—as well as first-time voters. These voters will help defeat Trump if they turn out—but may need more encouragement to come to the polls.

 

When folks learn what Trump has done—both his destructive policies as president and his criminal corruption—and what he plans to do if elected, he loses support. Which is why it's critical we use the effective method of one-to-one conversations to break through the media noise and Trump's blaring disinformation.

 

MoveOn members will be reaching out to voters on Tuesday—seizing this moment while Trump's convictions are in the news environment.
