His school’s basement has been turned into a bomb shelter equipped with emergency kits filled with water, snacks, warm clothing and comforting toys. To reduce the children’s stress, teachers have turned evacuating into an “adventure into the cave” where they play loud music, dance and dress up as fantasy creatures.  Like all children, Oleh is resilient. With the proper resources, care and support, he and so many others can overcome the trauma of war, disaster and other crises.
