| → Texas legislators just launched an attempt to ban abortion even in cases where a woman will die without one. Abbott hasn't stopped it, because he supports it. → Several hospitals, afraid of violating Abbott's extreme abortion ban, have turned away patients or delayed care, putting lives at risk. Abbott hasn't backed down from his extreme law that bans abortions even in cases of rape or incest. → Texans have been asked twice in the last week to conserve energy — including turning down the AC during an extreme heat wave — to reduce stress on Abbott's failing power grid. Abbott still refuses to fix the grid. → Rural Texas districts struggling to recruit and retain teachers are cutting days from the school week. Abbott won't fully fund our public school classrooms. |
