What we're able to raise right now will have an outsized impact on the results on Election Day.
In the latest fundraising period, our people-powered movement outraised Abbott by nearly 3 million dollars.
But to be blunt, we still have a long climb ahead of us. Here's why:
Historically the candidate with the most money wins — and in this race, that's currently Greg Abbott. According to his Texas Ethics Commission disclosure, Abbott has almost double the cash on hand as our campaign, and he's using that advantage right now to get the best TV ad time to attack Beto.
We're raising money faster than Abbott, but we need to pick up the pace if we're going to defeat him in November. Please, if you're ready to end Abbott's cruelty and extremism, pitch in $3 or more now to elect Beto as the next governor of Texas.

It's clear who Abbott is looking out for. Hint: It's not everyday Texans.
While teachers were Beto's top contributor by occupation, Abbott is running a pay-to-play scheme in which nearly two-thirds of the individuals who contributed more than $250,000 to his campaign were his OWN political appointees.
We're proud to be powered by people, not special interests. But if we're going to defeat Abbott and his corporate mega-donors on November 8, we need this grassroots team to dig deep right now and help close the fundraising gap.
Please, what we're able to raise right now will have an outsized impact on the results on Election Day. Can we count on you to chip in now to organize across Texas and build a massive coalition of voters to elect Beto?
Thank you,
Beto for Texas
