Today is Tax Day—the day when hundreds of millions of hard-working Americans pay their fair share in taxes. But for the ultra-wealthy and greedy corporations, today is simply the annual deadline to continue cheating the system. 

If you pay a single penny this tax season, you'll pay more than billionaire Jeff Bezos did in 2007 and 2011 and more than billionaire Elon Musk paid in 2018.¹ Working families pay their fair share—it's time ultra-millionaires do too.

The Ultra-Millionaire Tax Act, proposed by Senator Elizabeth Warren, would level the playing field and narrow the racial wealth gap by asking the wealthiest 100,000 households in America, or the top 0.05%, to pay more of their fair share. 

The bill would create a fairer economy through:

• 2% annual tax on net worth of households and trusts between $50 million and $1 billion
• 1% annual surtax (3% tax overall) on net worth of households and trusts above $1 billion²

It would start to address the huge disparity between those of us who get taxed on our work and the ultra-wealthy who get loopholes for their wealth.
