We've proven ourselves before. But we're not done.
We want to level with you about fundraising.
No one doubts that we have the people or organizing power to build a movement to elect Beto as Governor of Texas. We've proven that strength time and time again. We have thousands of volunteers. We are traveling to every part of the state. And we've already raised millions of grassroots dollars — all without corporate PACs or special interests.
But lately, our fundraising has slowed down. If we don't pick up the pace, we will be heavily outspent by Greg Abbott. In a time of 30-second TV ads and super PACs, the only way forward for Beto in this race is to run a people-powered effort like we've never seen before.
We have a big end-of-quarter fundraising deadline coming up, and we can't risk falling short. So we need to try our best right now to close the gap. Emails like this one have generated about half of all the money we've raised so far, but only a small percentage of people reading any given email end up donating.
Can Beto count on you now to be one of the people who steps up to be part of this grassroots campaign? Make a $3 contribution right now to help give us the resources we need to compete.
From the beginning, Beto said this campaign would be funded by real people. No corporate PACs. No corporations. No dark money special interests. We're holding true to that promise. But we have to face the realities about the flood of money on the other side.
Greg Abbott has over $50 million in the bank. That's around 8x what we have right now — and that total doesn't take into account the super PACs that will do anything to help the ultra-wealthy few continue to profit from Abbott's corruption.
We need your help right now to pick up our pace so we don't get heavily outspent. Add a $3 contribution right now so that we can run the strongest possible grassroots campaign to elect Beto as Governor.
Contribute $3
We're dedicated to campaigning the right way — the real way — by traveling across the state and listening to Texans in every part of the state, and by relying on the support of regular, everyday people chipping in what they can afford.
When Beto's campaign succeeds and we begin a new era in Texas, one where our governor puts families and communities first, it'll be because people like you decided to click on emails like these and make it happen.
Thank you for all you are doing,
Beto for Texas
