The American Rescue Plan helped get our country back on track and set us firmly on the road to recovery.
Together, we are rebuilding the backbone of America. The American Rescue Plan powered our economic recovery, helping create more than 7 million jobs in one year -- the most in history. And dedicated Democrats like you made it all possible.
I hope you'll take a moment to read about how much of an impact this legislation has had.
A massive vaccination effort
Think back to last March. More than 9.5 million workers had lost their jobs in the wake of COVID -- and millions of Americans were going into work without protection from vaccines, and children were still at home.
Since I signed the American Rescue Plan, we invested $160 billion in testing services and emergency response and $130 billion in resources for schools to reopen, accelerate academic growth, and more. I'm proud to say that a year later, over 200 million Americans are fully vaccinated against COVID, and 99% of schools are open in-person.
If you or someone you know needs a COVID-19 vaccine or booster shot, head to vaccines.gov to find your nearest COVID-19 vaccine provider.
Getting folks back to work
Here's one thing I am so proud of: In my first year as president, the economy added over 7.4 million new jobs. That's right, 7.4 million -- the largest number of jobs created in a single year in American history.
The American Rescue Plan got our economy back on track. We provided direct economic relief to people and small businesses, and with the hard work of the American people, we made history.
Delivering relief to working and middle-class families
It's a fact that America's working families bore the brunt of this pandemic. As the son of working class parents from Scranton, I know just how challenging economic hardship can be for an entire family.
The American Rescue Plan sent more than 175 million $1,400 checks to households across America. And I want you to know I am as committed as ever to fighting for you and your family, each and every day.
Get involved today
The American Rescue Plan passed without a single Republican vote. To make sure our progress continues, we need to elect more Democrats from the school board to the Senate who will deliver for the American people.
We're facing consequential midterm elections this November. The DNC is the only party organization tasked with making sure Democrats are elected nationwide, at every level of government. They're ramping up their efforts -- from protecting the right to vote to training the next generation of party leaders.
None of that is possible without grassroots supporters like you. So, if you can, chip in a $25 donation to support the DNC's work and make sure Democrats have the resources they need to pick up seats nationwide.
