The secret to winning in a state as big and diverse as Texas is to not to write anyone off. No county is too small, too Republican, or too anything for us to compete for their votes. We need to go everywhere and talk to everyone.
In that spirit, we're excited to announce our 254 County Mobilization Plan.
To reach every single voter, we need a budget for organizing and advertising in each corner of Texas. And four days from now, we have a state-mandated fundraising deadline. We'll publicly report how much we've raised. We want to be able to say we've reached our fundraising goals to launch a full-fledged campaign in each of Texas' 254 counties. That's where you come in!

It's true that most Texans live in big cities and counties. But you cannot expect to win in a state like Texas if you write off the rural counties, which are so vital to the future of this state.
Because these places have voted reliably Republican over the last two decades, you've seen many state and national Democrats write them off. And because those Democrats stopped showing up, Republicans didn't have to either. There was no competition for votes.
Our 254 County Mobilization plan gives us a BIG edge. You would be surprised at how many people will vote with us if given a chance to hear from our campaign. In counties where most people vote Republican, competing for votes will help us close the margins. And in counties that often vote Democrat, showing up and organizing will help us increase our margins.
