I've been a Democrat all my life -- because the causes I hold dear to my heart are championed by Democrats far and wide. And I know you feel the same way.
If we want to protect Medicare, protect and strengthen Social Security, lower drug prices, and so much more, we must throw our full weight into electing Democrats in your area and nationwide every year -- not just in the presidential ones. And the one organization responsible for doing that is the Democratic National Committee.
Trust me when I say: The DNC hitting its quarterly fundraising goal is not optional. It is necessary to Democratic victories. Candidates nationwide are relying on the DNC's tools and technology to win in the years to come, so I hope you'll throw your support behind them before Wednesday's deadline.
Donate $7 to the DNC ahead of Wednesday's end-of-quarter deadline to elect Democrats in your area and nationwide. People-first policy is a top priority of the Democrats, and electing Democrats is a top priority of the DNC.
I got my start in rock-and-roll, but I've always been an activist at heart. I've fought hard to help win elections -- and I know winning takes investing in Democratic infrastructure, data and technology, and organizing year-round.
Let's face it: Republicans are clearly not taking a break in their efforts to dismantle voting rights, affordable health care, and so much more -- so we cannot take a breather either. We have the collective power to elect Democrats who will fight for great health care, retirement benefits, and the well-being of American families -- and the best way of getting at that goal is supporting the DNC.
If you can, pitch in $7 to the DNC before Wednesday's deadline to help elect Democrats across our nation who will fight for affordable health care, protect social security, and so much more.

P.S. I've endorsed and campaigned with Democrats across the country because of this simple fact: We need Democrats in office in every ZIP code at every level to address life-altering issues in a people-first way. Show Democrats nationwide you've got their back by donating $7 to invest in the DNC's critical infrastructure before Wednesday's deadline.
