I’m going to tell you why this thing is actually true:

I'm about to tell you one of those things that you read a lot in emails like these: The long-term success of our party will depend on what grassroots supporters, like you, do ahead of Sunday's end-of-month deadline. The DNC is just days away from our critical end-of-month fundraising deadline, and this is real: What we are able to raise between now and Sunday will determine if Democrats are prepared to answer Republican attacks in 2021, 2022, and beyond. Coming up short on our fundraising at this moment is simply not an option -- we can't go back to letting Republicans win fights like these.
