I want to make sure we don’t come up short

If we think we can rest on our laurels for the next few years, we'll be in for a rude awakening when the next elections come around.

We worked so hard to elect Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and Democrats up and down the ballot last year. But that doesn't mean our work is over -- far from it. Right now, Democrats are fighting for real pandemic relief, combating climate change, and working to expand the right to vote. To make our policies a reality, we need to not only hold onto our slim Democratic majorities, but build on them. If I have learned anything in my 22 years in the Senate, it's that if we let Republicans gain an inch, they are going to take a mile. We have to make sure our Democratic infrastructure is stronger than ever if we hope to compete in the coming elections. Our next big test is only two days away -- our February end-of-month fundraising deadline. My friends at the DNC tell me that we need just 11 more donors from your area to hit their goal and stay on track to elect Democrats up and down the ticket in the years ahead.
