All right, we want to try something here. We want to set a goal — a big one — one that I am not sure that we can reach.

But the truth is, reaching for what others think impossible or radical is pretty much the spirit of this campaign and of Bernie Sanders' career.

So here it is:

We are setting a goal of reaching 5 million individual contributions before the final quarterly FEC reporting deadline comes to a close.

Reaching this goal would not only ensure we have the resources needed to win, but would also send a strong message that ours is the grassroots campaign to beat Trump. So we're asking:

Can you make a $27 contribution to our campaign today? Help Bernie, and all of us, reach a record-setting 5 million individual donations before our next FEC deadline comes to a close.

Bernie is very proud of the way we fund this campaign, and you should be too. It's historic. It's also something that voters and caucus-goers like to see. It's a great contrast with our opponents who spend a lot of time hustling the wealthy and powerful for donations.
