Here's why:

In just about a week, we'll close the books on the most important FEC fundraising deadline of the campaign.

And the truth is, right now we are in a bit of a holiday dead zone. Our fundraising, always strong, has the potential to slow a bit. Understandably.

So it would really help if those who have been waiting to make their first online contribution to our campaign, did so today.

Because not only do we need to report a big number after this deadline, it's these contributions we are putting to work RIGHT NOW in order to win this race.

So with the holidays here and the clock racing toward our FEC deadline, we are asking — especially today:

Can Bernie count on you to make your first online $2.70 contribution before today ends, ahead of this critical FEC fundraising deadline? It would mean a lot to our chances.

This is a critical stretch of the campaign. As things slow down this holiday, if we can find a way to pick up the pace it would give us a tremendous advantage.

So let's keep going and we are going to win this primary, beat Trump, and transform our country.
