It's been a while since I've written to you, but I wanted to reach out because it's Beto's birthday. He is in Pennsylvania today, so the kids and I won't get to celebrate with him in person. Instead, we'll join volunteers and supporters in El Paso to celebrate from afar.
It's not easy to be apart on yet another anniversary (14 years this past Tuesday!) and his birthday, but the encouragement we're getting from all of you makes it all worthwhile.
Every day I'm struck by all your dedication and enthusiasm. What I have seen on the ground in Texas, New Hampshire, and Iowa is remarkable. And I have loved following along via phone calls and social media this past week as he traveled through Colorado, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and Pennsylvania. There has been so much incredible energy and enthusiasm, and I know Beto has learned a lot from all of you who have been willing to share your stories.
Keeping Beto on the road so he can meet as many people as possible and organizing the largest volunteer team in the country who will mobilize voters in November 2020 requires a tremendous amount of infrastructure and money.
Since the campaign has a big goal of raising $750,000 by Monday at midnight, I'm wondering if you'll donate today for Beto's birthday.
Thank you for all you do to keep this campaign going! It's such an honor to be part of this with you.
Amy
PS: As a reminder, in four days, we'll close the books on our end-of-quarter fundraising.
