Thought you deserved an explanation

Friends -

We have emailed a number of times about tonight's end-of-month fundraising drive, so we thought it important to ask for a moment of your time to explain what these notes mean to our campaign.

Here's something you may not know: the vast majority of the donations we receive come in response to emails like this one.

So for us, it's either fancy fundraisers (not going to happen), or a few emails. Easy choice.

And what that means is that when you see us rising in the polls, as you see offices open up in your state, and as you see our ads on the air, it's the response to emails like this one that make it happen.

And with tonight's deadline approaching fast, we have to ask:

Can Bernie count on you to make your first $2.70 contribution to our campaign before tonight's midnight fundraising deadline comes to a close?

Bernie is very proud of the way we fund this campaign, and I think you are as well. So thank you in advance for responding to this message and helping us hit our goals.
