We need to keep pace.

I am very proud of how we're funding this campaign.

As you know, we have received an unprecedented 2.5 million contributions, which far exceeds anyone else in the race. More than 900,000 grassroots donors have come together to make that possible.

That's important. Because Donald Trump – as well as many of my Democratic opponents – will raise millions of dollars from billionaires and large corporations who want to maintain the grossly unfair status quo that we live in today.

They collect $2,800 checks. We receive donations averaging $19. So before tonight's end-of-month fundraising deadline at midnight, we are aiming for a very large number of donations in order to keep pace.

Please contribute $2.70 before tonight's monthly deadline. This is a crucial deadline for our campaign.

Anyone who knows me knows that I hate asking for money. It's one of the worst parts about running for office.

But what we are proving together is that we can run for president without having to ask wealthy campaign contributors for $2,800 max-out checks.

We don't have billionaires funding our campaign. At the end of the day, we have something far better. We have people like you.
