Here are some highlights from the work we did in March:

Dear FNAME, As we continue to grapple with the cruelty and callousness of this new Trump administration, we are also beginning to see real green shoots of hope spreading across the country, including Senator Cory Booker's historic 25-hour-long Senate speech, which was watched by tens of millions of people. More and more people are joining the fight every day against Donald Trump and Elon Musk's efforts to dismantle our nation. Because you're one of MoveOn's dedicated donors, we wanted to take this opportunity to share with you what MoveOn has been doing over the past month to expand this fight and make a real impact. Here are some highlights from the work we did in March: TRAINING A NEW GENERATION OF ORGANIZERS Earlier this year, MoveOn launched our Action Community Training (ACT) program to provide resources to volunteers who are interested in organizing in their local communities. Thanks to the dedicated work of MoveOn's team and our members, these trainings have taken off, and in March we saw a massive influx of new organizers joining the program! COUNTER-PROGRAMMING TRUMP'S EXTREMISM When Trump gave his address to Congress earlier this month, MoveOn was ready to call out his lies—and use the moment to make a real impact. MoveOn hosted a livestream during the speech, featuring Senators Chris Murphy, Brian Schatz, Ed Markey, and Angela Alsobrooks and others to counter the lies, propaganda, and hate-fueled rhetoric and to call on viewers to take action by joining a phone bank to flood Congress with calls demanding that members oppose any cuts to Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security. Over 61,000 people watched the livestream, which then led to the biggest phone bank in MoveOn's 26-year history! Nearly 140,000 calls were made by MoveOn members using software that you helped pay for with your generous donations! BUILDING MOMENTUM TO SAVE PUBLIC BROADCASTING Trump and his partner in crime Elon Musk are attempting to cut off local news coverage and educational programming for millions of Americans by shutting down public broadcasting, including PBS, and have launched completely unfounded investigations and held sham congressional hearings. During those hearings earlier this month, MoveOn launched a mobile billboard in Washington, D.C., to call out the attacks and demand that Congress protect public broadcasting. Take a look at the billboard! Together, all of the billboards that MoveOn's donors have helped us put up in states around the country this year have been seen by more than 2.5 million people! MoveOn was also busy this month working with our partners to plan the "Hands Off!" National Day Of Action happening tomorrow, Saturday, April 5. This will be the first mass mobilization since Trump's inauguration, with hundreds of thousands of people taking to the streets in cities across the country to show our overwhelming disapproval for Trump's policies.
