Pamela,
It's been nearly a week since Trump's reckless tariffs sent our economy into a tailspin. Already, this attack on our economy is hitting Americans hard.
But it didn't stop there: The Trump administration fired an entire department tasked with helping low-income Americans pay for heat and A/C, effectively terminating programs millions of Americans depend on every day, but especially when extreme storms hit like many regions of the country experienced last week.
Trump has made his message clear to the American people: You're on your own.
But the Trump administration is counting on us to feel overwhelmed. To shrug and think there's nothing we can do about it. That's where they're wrong.
We still live in a representative democracy. Our representatives and senators still stand between Trump's reckless economic agenda and our wallets. And this week, they're planning to vote on the coming year's budget. While we're seeing costs skyrocket right now, there are ways to keep costs from rising -- with the clean energy investments we fought hard for and won. But we need to make our voices heard to keep these investments off the chopping block.
EMAIL CONGRESS: Tell Senator Marco Rubio, Representative Mike Haridopolos, Senator Rick Scott, and Senator Ashley Moody to protect clean energy investments that lower our energy costs and create good-paying jobs.
The House is expected to vote on the new budget through a process called reconciliation this week. Now's the time to tell your members of Congress what to prioritize, and to stand up for American families and workers. Send your message now.
Thanks for making your voice heard,
Climate Power
