| Pamela, The U.S. Department of Justice has ended funding for Vera's vital public safety programs. Effective immediately.
Slashing this funding means: |
- Survivors of trafficking and violence who are living with disabilities will lose vital support.
|
- Efforts to reduce violence in prisons and improve conditions for incarcerated people and corrections staff are being cut.
|
- Communities working to build alternatives to policing and incarceration are left without the resources they need.
|
No matter what, our work continues. We will not allow communities impacted by the criminal legal system to be ignored.
