And Elon Musk has set to work destroying the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), the agency set up after the 2008 financial crisis to keep shady bankers from ripping people off. See for yourself: Musk has illegally fired CFPB's staff, and shuttered its headquarters. The CFPB protects American consumers from unfair, deceptive or abusive practices and takes action against companies that break the law. No wonder why Elon Musk and his billionaire buddies want to eliminate this agency! This is why we need you to tell Congress: stand with consumers to defend the CFPB.
