TAKE ACTION: Congress must REJECT the anti-voter "SAVE" Act >> Pamela, House Republicans want to make voting harder for you – no matter where you live. I need your help to stop them. Here's how their "SAVE" Act puts your vote at risk: Prove your citizenship – again: Even if you're a lifelong voter, if you move across town, change your last name when getting married, or switch parties, you'd have to provide your passport or birth certificate with your current legal name – in person at your local elections office – just to stay registered. Get stuck in long lines: Election officials would face impossible workloads, causing confusion and delays. Lose your right to vote – without warning: If outdated records can't verify your citizenship status, you could be purged from the voting rolls without even knowing it. The House of Representatives is expected to vote on this awful bill this week, so we must act NOW >> TAKE ACTION The "SAVE" Act's barriers could strip millions of eligible Americans of our right to vote – especially the 146 million Americans without passports and the 69 million American women whose birth certificates don't match their married names.
