Hi Pamela, Congresswoman Brittany Pettersen here.
This week, I traveled across the country with my newborn son to vote against the GOP's outrageous plan to rip away health care from millions of kids, seniors, pregnant women, and so many more — all so they can give tax breaks to their billionaire donors and friends.
Republican Leadership blocked my ability to vote remotely after giving birth to my son, Sam. It's outrageous that they would force new parents to choose between caring for our newborn and representing our constituents — but absolutely nothing could stand in my way from being in the Capitol to vote against their cruel and dangerous bill.
You better believe that I'll be there — no matter how challenging it might be — when Republicans are trying to strip away critical programs like Medicaid and SNAP.
That's why I voted against the GOP's plan to rip away health care, take food off of people's tables, and make life more expensive for hardworking families — all so they can hand out trillions of dollars to billionaires and wealthy corporations.
Pamela, I promised that I would fight every day for regular families — and I'll always be there to hold Republicans accountable when they're hurting hardworking people.
No matter what is thrown our way, I will continue to do what's right for the American people. But we know this won't be the last of their attacks.
We need to show Republicans in Congress that we're all willing to do what we can to fight back. That's why I showed up to the Capitol with my four-week-old son, and it's why I need you to sign your name to my new petition to say you're against the GOP's disastrous bill:
Thank you,
Brittany Pettersen
