Pamela, national parks are stunning places full of vibrant and diverse ecosystems. Our rangers and National Park Service employees keep these public lands protected from destructive drilling and its toxic pollution for generations to come. Many of us have had life-changing experiences visiting our national parks.
For more than 100 years, we've been greeted by a warm smile, a helping hand, or even attended a Jr. Rangers program with park rangers and employees. But these workers' jobs go far beyond that: Rangers at our national parks are EMTs and first responders. They save lives. They keep us safe.
And Trump is trying to tell us these jobs aren't important. He's orchestrated a wave of mass firings attacking the very workers who keep these lands safe and pristine.
Despite Trump's attempts, we know National Park Service workers play a critical role in our government. We love our national parks, and we need to remind these workers that we see and appreciate all they do to keep our public lands beautiful and safe for us to visit. Pamela, sign on to our letter thanking National Park Service workers, so they know we're grateful for all they do and play a critical role in our government.
Trump fired 1,000 National Park workers and is trying to put a hiring freeze in place impacting roles for thousands of seasonal workers:

We love our national parks, and workers are the reason we are able to visit these beautiful places. They've spent their careers protecting our public lands and saving lives. The National Park Service keeps our air and water clean, ensures the public has access to natural spaces, and teaches young people about these natural landscapes.
Pamela, let's thank these workers and make sure they know we're with them. Add your name to our letter.
