Last year was filled with challenges for children around the world. But through it all, the unwavering support of the Save the Children family stood strong. From the historic flooding in Kentucky and Pakistan to the ongoing war in Ukraine and other conflicts across the globe, dedicated champions for children like you were there for kids when it mattered most.
Your exceptional generosity reminds us of the potential of young people everywhere and our shared humanity that should bind us, rather than divide us. One of these young people is 6-year-old Rakib,* who was reunited with his family after he went missing in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh.
It only took a moment for Rakib to wander off, but the search that followed seemed like a lifetime for his family. Fearing for their son lost in the vast settlement of Rohingya refugees, Rakib’s family reached out to Save the Children’s protection office for help. Soon, through a close-knit network of local partners and foster families, they were able to locate Rakib and reunite him with his family.
