Last week, every single Democratic senator stood together to move S. 1 forward and continue our fight to protect the right to vote. That's right: Every. Single. One. Meanwhile, every Republican senator, led by Mitch McConnell, refused to even bring voting rights to the table for debate.
It's clearer than day: Democrats are committed to defending and expanding the right to vote to protect our democracy. But Republican lawmakers want to tear it all down in the name of political power. So, we have a fight on our hands.
The GOP blocking the For the People Act in the Senate is just one prong of their multi-tiered strategy to make it harder to vote. We're also seeing a historic number of anti-voter bills being introduced at the state level, and in some states, they're becoming law. For the sake of our democracy, we must be prepared to defend against those attacks.
The DNC is already operating a 24/7 voter protection hotline, fighting anti-voter laws in court, organizing in GOP-dominated states, and so much more. But we're relying on committed Democrats like you to support those efforts ahead of the DNC's end-of-quarter deadline this Wednesday:
Will you rush a $7 donation to the DNC before Wednesday's critical deadline to help protect the right to vote and elect Democrats nationwide?
