This was a major quarter for our party.
The DNC announced an initial $20 million investment in the states to ensure Democratic wins in 2021 and 2022 -- it was our earliest and largest midterm investment ever. And then, just weeks later, we pledged another $23 million to fuel state party innovation and put Republicans on the defensive in places they hold power.
We also celebrated a victory in NM-01 after this team volunteered, organized, and donated to help elect Congresswoman Melanie Stansbury. That race was a huge indicator of what this team is capable of accomplishing together in the months ahead.
But this is just the start of the history we can make ahead of the midterm election cycle -- and our path to success will be laid by the investments we're making right now. The difference between your support now and your support this time next year could be the difference that puts Republicans back in charge, which is why Wednesday's deadline is so important.
Will you be one of the 14 more donors we need from your area to donate your first-ever $7 to the Democratic Fight Fund? If we learned anything last cycle, it's that winning elections takes early investments -- so the work we do now is critical to electing Democrats nationwide in the 2022 midterms and beyond.
As of right now, the GOP's chief strategy for the midterm election cycle is making it harder to vote and obstructing Democratic legislation. It's incumbent upon this team to invest early so we can not just protect but expand our majorities in Congress and keep advancing the Biden-Harris agenda.
It's not going to be easy. We're all tired from our hard-fought elections last year. But if we can invest early and mobilize the grassroots in every corner of the country -- we can win nationwide next year.
The DNC is working around the clock to elect Democrats at the local level and up -- and your support before Wednesday's deadline is critical to that. Our party is unstoppable when supporters like you step up to the plate, so with Wednesday's end-of-quarter deadline right around the corner, I have to ask:
Will you be one of 14 more donors from your area who donate $7 for the first time to the Democratic Fight Fund to help elect Democrats and advance the Biden-Harris agenda in the months ahead?
More soon,
Sam
