We're facing our very first fundraising deadline since the DNC announced our initial $20 million investment in organizing and voter protection and $23 million investment in state parties and the grassroots -- that's $43 million invested ahead of the 2022 election cycle.
I hope you'll let me explain why these historic investments are so crucial to Democratic victory next year, and why we're relying on this Team to back them before our May deadline.
These investments will not only ensure the DNC is engaging voters and key communities earlier than in any other midterm election before -- they'll also strengthen our organizing in every state, territory, and even with Americans living overseas. So we're not just organizing early, we're organizing everywhere. That looks like:
- Empowering state parties to develop and implement state-tailored strategies. Folks working on the ground know their communities best -- that's why the DNC is investing $15.5 million in the State Partnership Program and $5.5 million in the State Party Innovation Fund. This funding will give state parties more room to lead and innovate to mobilize their communities.
- Taking the fight to Republicans through the Red State Fund. Any state can go blue -- it just takes talent, time, and money. That's why the DNC is investing $2 million in Republican-led states, so we can apply direct pressure on the GOP and organize everywhere -- not just in the historically blue states.
- Bulking up local talent and training. We must sustain our success for the long haul. That's why we're building on our talent pipelines to keep developing and training the next generation of diverse party leaders who'll run the party in 2022 and 2024.
- Protecting the right to vote. We cannot leave the GOP's attacks on the right to vote unanswered. That's why we're embedding voter protection experts in key states and expanding existing programs like IWillVote.com and our voter protection hotline.
But we're relying on supporters like you to help deliver on these investments. Be one of the 12 more supporters we need from your area to donate $7 to the Democratic Fight Fund before May's end-of-month fundraising deadline.
I want to emphasize: This $43 million is an initial investment. If we can stay on track and keep hitting our monthly goals, the DNC will be able to keep supporting state parties and the grassroots. That means continuing to expand our constituencies and growing the next generation of Democratic leaders who'll reflect our electorate and lead our party to victory.
Now we're relying on the support of folks like you ahead of this deadline. Your early contribution will help build coalitions across the country -- not just in typically blue communities -- so we can expand the Democratic map in 2022 and 2024. So, I have to ask:
Will you be one of the 12 more supporters we need from you area to donate $7 to the Democratic Fight Fund before May's fundraising deadline? Building on our 2020 victories to protect and expand our slim majorities must start now.
Thanks for being on this Team,
roger

P.S. The DNC is already investing millions in the midterm elections, but to keep up those early commitments, we must stay on track to hit our fundraising goals. Rush $7 to be one of the 12 more Democratic Fight Fund donors we need to donate from you area before May's fundraising deadline.
