A felony to send out a mail-in ballot application?

We cannot afford to leave these blatant attacks on voting rights unanswered.

I'm shocked. Shocked at just how far Republicans will go to upend our fundamental right to vote in the name of political power. In Florida, Georgia, Ohio, and now Texas, Republican lawmakers are pushing laws through state legislatures that suppress votes and voices. Governor Greg Abbott has already said he will rubber stamp the anti-voter bill in my home state of Texas. As the bill stands right now, it would make it harder for elderly and disabled voters to receive help to fill out their ballot, and it goes so far as to threaten election workers with felony charges for sending out unsolicited mail-ballot applications. Let me be clear, this bill has nothing to do with protecting the integrity of elections -- it is nothing more than Republican's latest attempt to usher in Jim Crow 2.0. We cannot allow these blatant attacks on voting rights to go unanswered. The DNC is working day and night, running a voter protection hotline, fighting these laws in court, increasing voter protection staff, and more to fight the GOP's attacks on our right to vote.
