As bad as it can get

The anti-voter bill Republicans are about to pass in my home state of Texas is as bad as it gets. Not only does it restrict voter registration, absentee voting, weekend voting, and polling hours -- it also makes it harder for folks with disabilities to vote by mail and discourages others from providing anyone a ride to the polls. The GOP's anti-voter bills are nothing more than a power grab by a party that's losing its grip -- and it's up to us to respond urgently to these attacks on our democracy. That means making sure legislation like the For the People Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Act can pass in Congress and that we continue to elect Democrats prepared to fight for the right to vote at the local and state levels -- and none of that will be possible without a strong DNC.
