Dear MoveOn member,
Justice Sonia Sotomayor recently said that the Trump administration is asking the Supreme Court "to destroy the structure of government."1
Justice Elena Kagan warned that Donald Trump would have "massive unchecked, uncontrolled power."2
And Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson explained that "having a President come in and fire all the scientists and the doctors and the economists and the PhDs and replacing them with loyalists and people who don't know anything is actually not in the best interest of the citizens of the United States."3
We know far too well that we cannot count on the Supreme Court to rein in Trump. The court's conservative majority appears ready to overturn a long-settled precedent and give him control of America's regulatory agencies, including nuclear energy, product safety, and labor relations.4
Trump and people around him are dead set on reshaping our country's institutions and the rule of law to serve their selfish and dangerous agenda. With Trump accelerating his authoritarian rampage, we the people have to take action.
The good news is that the No Kings movement, formed to visibly and unequivocally reject Trump and his enablers, is growing strong. There will be another No Kings Day in 2026—and we're preparing now to make it bigger than ever.5
Will you chip in $5 a month to MoveOn to build the mass mobilization movement to stop Trump's tyranny? It's going to take each and every one of us doing all that we can.
Yes, I'll chip in $5 a month. (If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately.)
No, I'm sorry, I can't make a monthly donation.
The first No Kings Day, in June, brought out 5 million people to peacefully protest in the streets at 2,100 events.
The second No Kings Day, in October, set the record for a nonviolent day of protest in the United States, with more than 7 million people turning out for more than 2,700 events.
We're helping to lead the coalition to coordinate a third No Kings Day in 2026—with more people in the streets than ever before.
You see, at October's protest, 7 million of us were in the streets to reject Trump—more than 2% of the adult population of the U.S.
For the next No Kings Day, we need to keep building to our goal of engaging 12 million people—around 3.5% of the population—because history has shown that's what it'll take to topple a dictatorship.6
A mass mobilization of 12 million people is a VERY big goal, but it's one that we can absolutely reach eventually—if we all pitch in. MoveOn will continue working, day in and day out, 24/7 to grow the pro-democracy movement. But we need your help to ensure we have the financial resources to turbocharge our organizing, in every community across the country.
Can you donate $5 a month? Your donation today will help MoveOn organize millions, coordinate events, and reject Trump and his authoritarian agenda at the next No Kings Day.

We're living in difficult times, with daily attacks coming from the Trump administration, and a Supreme Court that—for the most part—lets Trump do whatever he wants. And so you may be questioning if a protest—even a huge, coordinated day of action like No Kings Day—would really make a difference.
The answer is yes. Absolutely, resoundingly yes.
Mass mobilizations are an essential component to stopping Trump's tyranny. When we come together to protest, we:
- Change the narrative. When communities turn out to protest, in every corner of our country, we disrupt the Trump administration's false image of power and strength. As former Labor Secretary Robert Reich put it: "The Emperor has no clothes." We're showing that resistance is everywhere—and growing.
- Bring new people into our movement. Days of action like No Kings Day reach neighbors who aren't yet engaged. They help people take that first step and connect with others in their community who are ready to act.
- Build courage. When people see so many others in the streets, it gives them permission to speak up in their own lives—with family, at work, in their circles. Courage is contagious, and we need as many people in our country as possible to feel courageous. And mass mobilizations help protect our rights: When we turn out in such large numbers, we're fighting to ensure that we can continue to express our dissent amid authoritarian overreach.
- Give hope. Protests are joyful with solidarity, music, dance, chants, and speeches. When you're among people who refuse to accept Trump's dictatorship as normal, you feel hopeful that change is possible—and that together, we have the power to shape our future.
MoveOn is excited to help coordinate the next No Kings Day and dedicated to continuing to build the progressive mass movement against authoritarianism.
Movements change history—as will ours.
The American people will not bend the knee to dictators or wannabe kings; it's our country's founding principle. But we can't do it without you.
MoveOn is doing all we can to make the next No Kings Day the largest day of protest in U.S. history. Will you start a monthly donation of $5 today?
Yes, I'll chip in $5 a month. (If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately.)

Thanks for all you do.
