This weekend, many Americans will celebrate Easter with family, friends, food and fun — and if you’re one of them, we sincerely hope you enjoy this time with your loved ones.
Unfortunately, our service members deployed to the Middle East may not be able to think of their kids searching for colorful eggs in the grass. They’ll be worrying whether militants will launch more attacks as promised — like the one that killed three U.S. service members earlier this year.
Deployed service members will spend the holiday far away from their families in lonely barracks, often in foreign countries, just hoping for an internet connection to call home before their kids go to bed and find out what they got from the Easter bunny.
That’s why we hope you’ll share some of your holiday joy and help us uplift our service members on this important day by being one of the 50,000 signatures we need on our Easter Card via email and text message.

Men and women who serve our country risk their lives and make many sacrifices every single day in service of our country — spending time far away from loved ones is just one of them. But holidays like Easter are one of those especially difficult times to serve for service members, who would usually celebrate with their families at home.
And though we may not be able to bring everyone deployed home — together, we can make sure to show them that we know and appreciate the special sacrifice they make for us and our country by serving during the holidays.
