I'd really love it if I could earn your support today. Because tonight at the stroke of midnight, this 3-month public reporting period is over. We need as much momentum as possible to show that we are a formidable opponent to the eventual GOP nominee. And with four serious Republican contenders getting into the race over the past few months, this public fundraising report will be looked through with a fine-tooth comb to see how we stack up.

The polls are showing that this Senate race in Michigan is a dead heat with a lot of voters still undecided. That's who we need to get to. If we fall short of our goal before our FEC deadline ends, it delays us talking to crucial voters early — especially in places outside of my current congressional district.
