But before the price cut went into effect, Novo Nordisk discontinued Levemir in the United States. And Novo Nordisk's alternative to Levemir costs THREE times as much as Levemir. This is all part of the Big Pharma corporate greed that raises prices on prescriptions and throws lawsuits at the government in response to President Biden's announcement that Medicare would lower the price of just ten prescription drugs.
