| Petition to the Federal Trade Commission: We urge you to include Elon Musk's new AI start-up in your inquiry into generative AI investments and partnerships. | Isn't Elon Musk powerful enough? Musk doesn't think so, because he's jumping into the world of artificial intelligence and seeking $6 billion in investments for his new AI start-up. Big Tech is just trying to get bigger. Musk and tech giants like Amazon, Microsoft, and Google want control over AI in order to consolidate their power, squash smaller competitors, and seek dominance over evolving and increasingly potent artificial intelligence tech. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has launched an inquiry into a few Big Tech companies (including Amazon, Google, and Microsoft) and their efforts to control AI. But Musk's new billion-dollar start-up isn't included in the inquiry. Sign the petition: Urge the FTC to include Elon Musk's AI start-up in its inquiry into the Big Tech's growing control over artificial intelligence, including corporate investments and partnerships in the industry. The significant costs of developing AI already gives Musk and tech giants an advantage in trying to dominate the market and squeeze out smaller competitors. When the world's richest, most powerful people and corporations control every new thing in a market or industry, that's not competition. Musk's start-up is the perfect example of how oligarchic power stifles competition even when on the surface it could seem like his start-up might increase competition. Elon Musk is about to get even more powerful unless the FTC acts. Add your name: Don't let Elon Musk's AI start-up fly under the radar! |
