What happens when election deniers take over the apparatus of our elections? That's precisely what's at stake this November, because Donald Trump and Steve Bannon are running a sophisticated plot to install their lackeys as the election officials who oversee voter registration, vote counting, and have the power to certify—or decertify—election results in key battleground states.1
Steve Bannon said it outright: "We're taking over all the elections."2
In all, more than 80 candidates who have embraced the Big Lie are running for state offices that run, oversee, or protect elections.3 These MAGA candidates are hell-bent on consolidating power for themselves at the expense of the rest of us—and our democracy.
Andra, we have only about 100 days to stop them. But we stopped Trump in 2020, and we can stop him and the MAGA movement again in 2022—if we come together, starting right now. It's going to take each and every one of us doing all we can.
To win in November, MoveOn is launching the largest relational voter contact campaign in the country, meaning that we'll turn out voters based on genuine relationships with them, which the research now shows is by far the most effective way to get voters to the polls—up to five times more effective than typical get-out-the-vote initiatives like phone-banking and knocking on doors.4
This is the approach we innovated and used to help defeat Trump in 2020, and we've spent the last two years building and fine-tuning it.
This year, we're laser-focused on turning out people who voted for the first time in 2018 or 2020 but who may not vote this year. These "surge" voters are likely to be the margin of victory Democrats need to win. But it will take all of us, working together, to meaningfully reach these voters and turn them out on election day.
We've designed a program where anyone—wherever you live—can take an active role in the get-out-the-vote efforts to mobilize the very voters we need to defeat Trump's MAGA candidates and elect pro-democracy champions ready to fight for our rights and our communities.

You'll learn about your unique role in our plan to protect our democracy, motivate key voters, and support strong candidates in key races up and down the ballot.
