Will you sign the petition re: Tucker Carlson and White Supremacy

Conservatives can defend him all they want, but we can see the truth. Tucker Carlson and his defenders are complicit in giving voice to these white supremacist and racist ideals. It ends now.

Sign the petition: Stop Tucker Carlson from supporting, propagating, and spewing a white supremacist agenda on Fox News.

Dear fellow MoveOn member,

Over the weekend, a white supremacist gunman opened fire at a supermarket in Buffalo, New York.1

He murdered ten people and injured three others—and eleven of the thirteen people shot were Black.

Authorities have found a 180-page manifesto, authored by the shooter, in which he identifies as a white supremacist and antisemite and describes his intention to attack a Black neighborhood. In his manifesto, the shooter speaks extensively about the "great replacement" theory, which asserts that white people are being driven out and replaced by non-white people in Western societies.2

It's a heinous, racist conspiracy theory—and for years, Tucker Carlson has been known as one of its chief proponents.3 Carlson openly describes immigrants in grotesque, inhumane terms—he has argued, on air, that Democrats were letting in "more obedient voters from the third world" in order to "replace" the current electorate.4

Sign the petition demanding that Fox News de-platform Tucker Carlson.

Every night, this dangerous rhetoric is beamed into millions of homes across the United States. There's absolutely no place for this sort of violent, hateful, dangerous rhetoric—it's the same sort of sentiment that has influenced the white supremacist attacks in El Paso, Pittsburgh, Montreal, and Christchurch in past years.5

Unfortunately, it's only a matter of time before another person is radicalized into a white supremacist who then feels emboldened to slaughter innocent people. The stakes are too high to wait.

As long as Fox News and Tucker Carlson continue spewing this garbage, the violence will continue. Sign the petition to stop Tucker Carlson from supporting and propagating a white supremacist agenda on Fox News.

Tucker Carlson has built his career on his fear-mongering, racist, and conservative views. Republicans in Congress and in the media have mimicked talking points about "great replacement theory." They cannot escape accountability for actions inspired by their racist rhetoric.

We can't let Tucker have a platform built on misinformation and disinformation that is getting people murdered. Conservatives can defend him all they want, but we can see the truth. Tucker Carlson and his defenders are complicit in giving voice to these white supremacist and racist ideals. It ends now.

Want to support our work? Right-wing groups are spending tens of millions of dollars on TV ads to smear critical progressive legislation. Meanwhile, donations to progressive groups like MoveOn are plummeting now that a Democrat is in the White House, meaning we don't have the resources to fight back. That's a huge problem, and that's why we urgently need your support.

Will you chip in to fight right-wing lies and pass urgent legislation to confront the multiple crises our country faces?
