From the day we're born to the rest of our lives, all Americans deserve access to quality, affordable universal health care. Yet, there are people dying every day in our country because they don't can't afford health care.
In one of the wealthiest countries on the planet, it's reprehensible that this is our reality -- but there is a solution: make Medicare for All the law of the land.
That's why, this morning, I re-introduced Medicare for All along with thirteen of my colleagues in the Senate -- marking another powerful step toward progress to achieve universal health care for all.
Our health care system is broken. And it's that way by design.
Big Pharma and major insurance companies have spent decades profiting off of skyrocketing drug prices; racial disparities for quality care continue to increase nationwide; and emergency expenses -- like costly hospital bills -- have eroded financial security for low-income and middle-class families.
We can't rely on our broken system to fix itself. We need to fight -- hard -- for a health care system that works for everyone, not just those who can afford to pay for care.
Our campaign is fighting for health care as a top priority of this race. Will you join us by adding your name and showing the support behind Medicare for All?
For The People,
— Kamala Harris
