I want to hear your story on Tax Day

Today, as millions of Americans file their taxes, working and middle-class families are being squeezed tighter and tighter. Corporate profits are at an all-time high while pay for workers has stagnated. And the Trump Administration has chosen to fan the flames.

If we are going to win this fight, we need to raise our voices together and elevate each other's stories.

I want to hear directly from you about how Trump's tax scam has affected you and your family. We have to bring light to the impact this tax bill has had on working families.

Right now, the playing field isn't just uneven: the system is set up to benefit those at the top, not everyday Americans.

There is a problem when sixty Fortune 500 companies can avoid paying federal income tax completely while more and more Americans are having a harder time making ends meet.

And there is a problem when four pharma companies alone can save more than $7 BILLION under this tax law while 40% of American families don't have enough cash to cover a $400 unexpected expense, like a medical bill.

We need to speak truth and call this President's tax law what it is: lining the pockets of the already-wealthy corporations and top 1% at the expense of middle-class and working families. It's morally reprehensible.

If I'm elected president, one of our top priorities will be to pass the LIFT Act, my legislation to guarantee middle-class families a tax credit of up to $500 a month. This would be the largest tax cut for the middle class in decades -- and we'd pay for it by reversing this Administration's gifts to big corporations and the top 1%.

Today, we are going to fight back by collecting and sharing stories of those who are negatively impacted by the Trump Administration's tax bill. If you have a story to share, click here to add it today.

Thanks for adding your voice to this fight. Together, we can create a system that lifts American families up -- not corporations.

For The People,

— Kamala Harris
