Ayanna knows Georgia will be key to protecting our democracy

Will you donate to turn out voters in this critical swing state?

Pamela,

I'm proud that my good friend, Ayanna Pressley, was in the Peach State last month campaigning for the Harris-Walz campaign, reminding voters what's at stake this election. She knows how important it is to empower and turn out every eligible voter who has been historically disenfranchised, and is doing the work to earn every vote.

I launched Fair Fight to protect the right to vote here and across the country. I knew then that fighting back against voter suppression in critical states like Georgia was key to preserving our democracy.

In 2020 and the 2021 runoffs, Fair Fight helped drive record-breaking voter turnout among Georgians, particularly young voters and voters of color — delivering a Democratic majority in the U.S. Senate and White House. And now, once again, Georgia is a battleground swing state.

Meeting communities where they're at during the final weeks of this race will make all the difference in this election. That's what Fair Fight and Ayanna Pressley are going to do, but we rely on grassroots supporters to make this work possible. Will you split a donation today between Ayanna Pressley's team and Fair Fight to help us turn out voters, protect our freedom to vote, and defend our fundamental freedoms that are on the line?

The right to vote is one of the most sacred rights we have as Americans, and the GOP has two election-deniers on their ticket for President and Vice President who wouldn't think twice about taking away our rights.

What's more, our State Election Board in Georgia — on which sit three members endorsed by Donald Trump — has been working to change Georgia's election rules in a likely attempt to help Trump. Thankfully, freedom and the rule of law are prevailing. A judge blocked an election denial-based lawsuit seeking to empower local officials to refuse to certify election results. Seven of the Election Board's rule changes, seemingly designed to slow down election results and sow chaos, were also struck down in court, and their certification rule changes were found "illegal, unconstitutional and void."

There's too much at stake in this election — from the future of reproductive freedom, to gun violence prevention, to the strength of our democracy itself. And the issue that ties all of these issues together is our ability to make our voices heard at the ballot box. Our futures, and the futures of those who will come after us, depend on this election. With your support, Fair Fight is going to make sure that every eligible voter's vote is counted fairly.

That's why I'm asking you to split a contribution between Ayanna Pressley's campaign and Fair Fight, to help continue the work to protect access to the ballot box and the freedoms that voting helps us unlock.

Thank you for showing up,

Stacey Abrams
