Re: Sign the petition to investigate Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene
Dear MoveOn member,
Did you read the latest news? MAGA Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene is making deals with Republicans, this time securing her a seat on a House-Senate conference committee that will examine many classified documents.1
This is bad. There are plenty of reasons why this is concerning and even more why Greene is unqualified—from her dangerous conspiracy theories to her blatant disregard for civil and human rights. Not to mention, Greene continues to elude scrutiny or consequences for her potential mishandling of confidential documents last month. It is egregious that Greene be appointed to another committee when she is willing to compromise our national security for her own political gain. We can't afford to stay silent.
We have to take action before Greene is added to yet another committee where she will be potentially handling sensitive information. We must hold her accountable before it's too late. Join the more than 34K MoveOn members who have signed the petition calling for her immediate investigation.
Thanks for all you do.

P.S. See the email below that we sent a few weeks ago to catch up on how Greene described circumventing secure congressional review of materials, then share with three of your friends to make sure Greene's actions don't go unchecked.

Dear MoveOn member,
In the chaos of Donald Trump's indictment, Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene almost slipped under the radar. Rep. Greene might have mishandled highly sensitive and classified information.1 We can't allow a rapid news cycle to overshadow Rep. Greene's negligence, especially when national security is at stake.
Hours after Trump's indictment for obstructing justice and hoarding classified documents, Rep. Greene went on Fox News and casually described how she circumvented the confidentiality of a secure congressional review of materials.2 As elected representatives, members of Congress are entrusted with sensitive information and are expected to safeguard both individual and national security. Breaches of this nature should never be taken lightly, let alone so cavalierly discussed on national television.
Rep. Greene has a fundamental duty to uphold the responsibilities of her role. She needs to know that her colleagues are watching—and so are we.
Confidential issues of national security should not be wielded publicly as mere talking points for political gain. Rep. Greene's actions were unethical and irresponsible. They may even be deemed illegal. We need to send a strong message that this kind of behavior won't be tolerated.
Thanks for all you do.

Want to support MoveOn's work? Book bans have skyrocketed thanks to right-wing state laws which have forced teachers to remove books from their classrooms. In response, MoveOn is launching a "Banned Bookmobile," filling it with books that the far right has banned, and driving it around to hand out those books, for free, in highly trafficked areas that will attract media attention. To keep the Banned Bookmobile up and running into 2024, we need your help.
